i decided that instead of making a bunch of little threads for movies, we’ll just start one huge one. Talk about movies, movie websites, stuff like that.
How about movie quotes? 
Battle Royale - everyone should watch this film. it has quickly become one of my favourite of all time. it is truly a brilliant piece of cinema.

Naw, but you’re right, let’s just stick to the movie facts and stuff. I’m going to talk about the Matrix:
Has anyone seen this flick yet? If not, go out and see it. It’s about this guy named Thomas Anderson/Neo who gets told that he is living in a fake world created by machines. He is told by this dulch named <strike>Kazaa</strike> Morpheus. Then there’s this girl, yada yada, who doesn’t really impact the movie. Later on Morpheus tells Neo that he is the One (“One” is an anagram of “Neo”…hm…). The bad guy’s named Agent Smith who can do all this magical hoopla from within the matrix (oh yeah, that’s what the fake world is called). At the end we see Neo fly.
I rate it 9.7/10.

is anyone here going to buy Gangs of New York. saw it in theaters and it was really good, but a little too long. still a really good movie.
Gangs of New York. Now that’s a movie. Scorsese is one of the best directors around. It should have won best pic at the oscars. I’m gonna go pick it up today. ***1/2

basically the japanese govt set up a new law whereby a lottery is drawn and one class (of about 40 students) from all the high schools is sent to an island. they have 3 days on the island. the last person alive at the end wins. only one person can survive - if more than one person is still alive by the end of the 3 days, everyone dies.
they’re given provisions and a random weapon (ranging from guns to dustbin lids lol) and basically it involves all these school friends turning on each other.
think… Lord of the Flies on heat 
it’s an amazing film - especially the social interactions: you get the usual sort of chit-chat and gossip and behaviour of high school kids with the added element of them having to kill their friends.
really interesting, exciting, and… just… engrossing. highly recommended! not for the feint of heart
