ps:my new year resolution, is l to do things in (a) “FLASH”!
I looked at your file and noticed that all your cordinates on the buttons are wrong so I fixed them so that it scrolls and shows the entire number. I couldn’t find what was the problem with button number 1 so I deleted it and replaced it with a copy of one of the other ones and fixed the script on it so now everything is working exactly how you wanted it to. Here is your fla. =)
but i do face this problem upteem number of times .like in the dragging menu, sliding menu.
i guess my positiong and alignment are all wrong.
hey electron(what is ur real name?) could you tell me what i could do to fix this position problem of mine?
in the dragging menu too, i had severe problems with the positiong of the buttons i shall also be posting that soon so that you could help me!
i know i know this reply really sounds dumb because i have to just change the co-rodinates of the objects till i achieve the result i want but argghh i couldn’t help posting this and my fingers were itching to type something on the keyboard!
anyway electron(real name?) help me out with the positiong if there is something i need to know more in order to get the accurate results.
THANKS A MILLION BUDDY:beam:
bye and WISH YOU A HAPPY NEW YEAR ELECTRON

I’m going to be honest with you, but I’m not no genius actionscripter. As a matter of fact, I’m still new to AS myself, I’m barely scratching the surface and there’s still a lot for me to learn.
As for you menu, I knew right away that there was a problem with the x cordinates and after playing with the numbers, I realized that negative numbers moves it to the left and positive numbers moves it to the right so I just plugged in numbers until it lined up correctly. You can use decimals as well to get a more accurate alignment so that’s what i did.
I’m still learning so that’s the best answer I could give you, but feel free to post more questions and I’ll try my best to help you and if I can’t then I’m sure someone else will.
Oh and my real name is Timothy, but you can call me electrongeek, EG, elec, geek, E-geek…etc hahaha
hey timothy the fixedmenu.fla you posted was done in FLASH MX
and I have Flash 5 with me. You must be knowing that animations done in Flash MX will not open in Flash 5(it gives a unexpected file format!).
