hi all
I know that externally loading Swf is well documented in this forum and if by any chance this post has already been covered then my sincere apologies.
Right After looking at the great tutorials on this site I decided that i would create a transitional mask that would reveal it’s self and show a load bar while the external swf is loading up.
From experiment in creating preloaders for swf’s i can create them without too much problems, But it seems the method of calculating the getbytestotal and loaded differs when we are calculating them from movieclips (this Im not sure about)
Anyways i have attached my example flas
OK SO WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO DO?
Well i have created a small transition movieclip that will execute to load an external movie called “sparkle2.swf” into an empty movieclip called “cool”
What I am wanting to do is have a loadbar that tells the viewer how much is left of the swf (which is loading in the “cool” movieclip") which it has finished loading the transition then gotos a specific frame in its time line.
Im not sure if my code is wrong or whether my approach is complete wrong but any help will as always be greatly appreciated
kind regards
