Okay so this is new, it’s old and it’s now.
I just felt that I needed to get this off my chest and share the experience with others whom might not have had the pleasure yet.
Trapt is a nu-metal band who released their first album sometime in 2003 I think it was, not entirely sure since I live in Europe (might of been 2002 in the states).
Anyway, they have a great sound and with Warner Bros. Records backing them up they got off to a very good start (Warner Bros. Records also signed Linkin Park who are huge today and my favourite group without competition).
Worth noticing is that they are very connected with their fans and did about 200-300 shows that year alone, just to reach as many people as possible.
And now they have a new album coming out september 12th I believe, which is called Someone In Control, and I have to say, it really kicks ***.
The band has decided to put out 4 songs and a video for the single “Stand Up” at the following website: http://www.myspace.com/trapt so that everyone can listen to their “new” sound.
The songs really amazes me and gets me extremely excited about the release of the album.
As mentioned I live in Europe (Sweden to be precise) and as far as I’m concerned, not many people here know about Trapt.
But with their new way of putting themselfs out there (I think Warner Bros. Records really sees the $$ in these guys) I’ll bet my socks that they are going to go the same route as Linkin Park did nearly five years ago.
Perhaps they already are huge and widely known in the states or in some parts of Europe, but I don’t think so(?).
Either way this thread is for all of those who didn’t know about them!
Oh and Waiting is definetively my favourite song of the four that are released.
