I imported a 7 meg mp3 into, flash set it to soundtrack quility and now the fla is 110 megs. It still publishes small but having to wait 5 minutes to open the fla is annoying. how do I fix this?
Um. Have a smaller mp3.
Stuff like that will really bump up your file size. Have you thought of putting the mp3 into another movie and loading it separately?
Or even better, import it dynamically…

I just looked up dynamic uploading on kirupa tutorials, its great!!! I will never have to upload whole swfs just to upgrade news again.
