first off, let me say this: i think is absolutely terrible what has happened in south-east asia, it’s one of the worst things that could happen to someone, those people are left with absolutely nothing. i really feel the horror those people are going through. and if there was any way that i could help them i’d so do it.
but the thing that has been bugging me lately, is the friggin’ hype that’s been going on lately. it seems that every where i look it’s tsunami this, tsunami that. this whole thing has become such a media hype. when i turn on the half hour news, 28 minutes are devoted to the tsunami. i know it’s terrible but the media doesn’t have to act like there isn’t anything else going on in the world. today, there’s a huge live-show on every belgian channel at once to raise money. ok, their full right, but does it really have to be from 4pm to 12pm? and on every friggin’ channel? :h: i’ve had a long working week, maybe i just wanna come home and watch my shows as always… i know this sounds really self-centered, but i really am not, i really care about these people, i’ve even given some money on their account, but this is all just getting a bit too much imo
