Turn your last.fm into a wordle

I discovered Wordle and realised it would be cool if you can make one based on your last.fm charts.

I don’t know how many people have heard of http://wordle.net/, but it makes cool images based on the frequency of words in text.

So I thought it would be cool if you could do one based on your last.fm, for example if you had 1000 beatles compared to 600 Rolling Stones, then the Bealtes would appear bigger. But then you’d have to copy and paste The Beatles 1000 times…

After some mucking around I made a little program to do it for you and threw it onto my blog. Have fun. I’m not the best coder in the world

Not sure if this is in the right thread, as I did make it but it could go into kool sites (wordle) or just the music thread.

Dude sweet. Jenkins made me aware of Wordle and I think it does an awesome job. This is an excellent extension of it :slight_smile:

Nice work man. With this it really ads personality if one wants a desktop with all their favorite bands. Until your friend notices that in really small letters it says “clay aiken” and slowly backs away from you. :fab:
