So, that TV I got, turns out to have a non-standard back. Therefore, we’re having major trouble mounting it to the wall.

The problem with this mount is that it needs a professional to install it, because it doesn’t fit on regular studs. Check out the description on PriceGrabber.com listing page (that’s also a link), which notes the sizing issues.
Because of the non-standard size, that appears to be the only possibility, which really is not possible for us.
Are there any other suggestions?
