can people try out my new text typing component and tell me what you think and any bugs you experience…

ok i now have an .mxp file for it,
no need to enter individual IDs…
colour syntax and code hints to help you use it :wink:
also there were recurring depth issues which should be fixed now…
changed the way i structured it and it has ironed out quite a few of the bugs i could detect…

i cant find anymore in this release (1.06)… at least not that i can remember!

feedback is welcome cough cough :wink:
so hinting and subtlety isnt my strongpoint, so what?? lol

The “edit character symbol” seems to always come up as “undefined”… eg,

I still think you sould post a swf so people can see it in action, then those that would be interested in such a component can download it and test it. Im lazy without seeing if it does something I like, I wont take the time :wink: but thats just me.

well im working on V1.7 atm… (i bn a busy bee ;))
has mc cursor support
has custom UI
random interval typing support
incremental/decremental typing support
ironed out a few bugs… never come across that edit character symbol undefined problem… ever! :S ill try and dig around but any information you could give me on your set up would be handy!!

PS. macromedia asked for a demo as well wen i submitted an earlier version to their macromedia exchange thingy…

well If I use the component by just dragging it out on stage with the default text you provide it works fine but if I change the text to something else than it still says undefined after every letter. other than that it seems to be pretty cool

hmm… ive tried it in all the versions i have on my computer and i cant get that to happen…ive put in a failsafe anyway…
let me know if you get it on V1.7 which i hope to have running ok by tomoro…
