–Back Story–
After much procrastination, I had to bite the bullet and get back to work on a pre-existing Flash game. The artists have given me hundreds of new images. I told the artists to keep all the file names the same, so I can use the Update function in Flash.
–The Problem–
I selected five images in the library, hit the Update button, images were updated, no big deal… except… all instances of those images are now 25% of the normal size.
If I hit properties on the image in the library, it has the correct dimensions. However, the instance is 25% than those dimensions. The original instances, before the update, had not been scaled. I attempted to select the instances and hit Remove Transform, which did nothing. It is as if it really thinks those images should be 25% of their real size.
–The Question–
How do I update all the assets in this game without having to manually replace all the instances now?
I have used the Update function for this exact purpose previously without this happening… it is really the only way to keep your sanity when constantly getting new assets from artists. What went wrong?
Cheers,
Zoop
(Again, you guys cannot underestimate how much willpower it takes to be calm in these posts…)
