I am trying to significantly reduce my .fla and .swf file size so that I can publish to the web. I have a couple of questions:
-
I have imported an image into Flash (after saving as a .png with the “Save for Web” command in Photoshop (by the way, some of them were at 150 dpi on Photoshop when I did the “save for web” command…others were reduced to 72 dpi). I just realized that there are ways to reduce file sizes in the library in Flash, even though I am almost through with the whoel thing. When I go into the library to compress the image, if there is a bitmap that I am going to update and I have previously used it to transform into a graphic, will all of the instances of the graphic be updated in size and compression too, since I have used the original bitmap to make the graphic?

What is the ideal file size (both .swf and .fla) for a project that will be published to the web?
