Should I feel shame if I decide to rely regularly on a package that came from a book?
When I make projects in AS3, they’re a source of pride. I may be relying on Adobe’s code, and sometimes on the code of others who were willing to share, but there’s a community feel to what I’m doing.
But when I buy a book, which has a link to a [URL=“http://rightactionscript.com/ascb/”]package, it’s a totally different feeling. Where’s the joy in using this code? It’s almost as if I took it right from the book. It’s even worse.
What about you? Is using a prepackaged package worth your dignity?
