Okay I am working on a site for a client that I hvae upgraded for more of a showcase piece when we are finished. I have gone out a purchased a few ActionScript books for general knowlege and for reference, and now I am ready to try and tackle something cool.

On the right hand side of the page is the navigation. But right now it is simply made of a movie clip and some home made temp components. The first thing i want to do is make it so when you visit the a link it will turn the button a different color. It is set up now so the buttons only show when it is in the Over state which resets the buttons, hince why the audio button is in the top right. What i am looking to do is have the navigation slide out and say the user clicks pictures. The thumbnails would load under the navigation on the slider and when you click one it would show it where the clouds are.
I just need to know what to start with. How i should go about getting this working.
