Video Capture Software

Anybody know of any GOOD HIGH QUALITY video capture software??

I’ve tried VDub (I dont know how to use it)
the one that came with my tuner
and MSDVR 2000

anything else you guys can reccomend?

I use WinDVR by InterVideo. I use it for my TV tuner, but the program that came with it has terrible quality. WinDVR does the trick for any situation.

ok, I downloaded it… and it works very well! But when I go to record video… and then playback in Windows Media it says error downloading codec… then takes a couple of seocnds and plays anyways?

What codec does it use?? or what should i set it to record at?

Well, it’s only natural that you should already have the basic XVID and DIVX codecs installed although I doubt it uses it. Goto setup and goto the Record tab. Play around in there, most of the codecs are MPEG, so it shouldn’t have a problem.

I’ve already done that. I have Xvid and all of them… what makes no sense, it says error downloading codec… but then it plays it anyway?!

and I put it into this program I have to see what codec it uses, and it doesnt even know

Well, try their WinDVD program, that’ll definitely play your recordings.

Also, get K-Lite Codec Pack, that has everything.

I’ve heard alot of stuff about that one with the red logo… can’t seem to remember the name of it but it isn’t very good :stuck_out_tongue:

edit: oh yeah! pinnacle…
