yeah, the thread definitely went off track, but oh well, happens a lot around here.
As for AS being hard to learn, I guess that depends on the person. It definitely takes a like of time, patience and experimentation. I am still learning AS, I am pretty sure I will never stop learning because I learn something new every day. If you have experience in coding in other languages then learning AS may be a bit easier than if you were starting out in AS, but overall I think AS has a good learning curve and is a relatively easy language to learn.

I jsut figured out how to use thors. Very cool but i already voted for scootman.

yeah, sorry about that. I should’ve told everybody how to use it beforehand. I wanted to make this more than a mouse trailer, so I made it so that, the orbs would go back to its divinely proportional spiral for added effect. with the first attempt i made at this experiment, I made it so that when you hold down the mouse button, it would tilt on an axis and follow the mouse solely on that axis; it made a pretty nice 3D effect, but I got bored with it. at the end, i just decided to make it follow the mouse indefinitely.
also, as a bonus, i made it so that at times, it would follow an infinite-symbol pattern. 
maybe you should have made it follow the mouse when the mouse moved and then go to the spiral when the mouse stopped… that would have been a cool effect
lol Scootman’s dots reminded me of explosions in “Paratrooper” :crazy:
