I just had an intersting idea over in Showcase and Critiques when talking about a site.
I didn’t think the design was as good as it could be but it kinda didn’t matter because the client had already seen it and was happy with it. So should that be then end of the story?
Should the clients happiness, for what they are paying for, be the goal of a web design?
Is there a duty to design itself to make sure a design is all it can be?
If a client likes your design but you know it’s no good then should you educate your client on what could be done or do you shrug and think “Hey, they’re the boss?”
Where does your sense of duty lie…the world of design and the web itself or your client, the person with the cash?
