Hello All. As you may recall - We are creating a Flash movie about Protein Synthesis – amino acids, DNA, polypeptides, DNA, mRNA, etc.
We are ready to present our creation to the biology experts for comments. To ease their burden of “pointing at” specific things in our creation that need to be fixed etc., I want to give them a way to cite an identifying tag on the display that is meaningful (to us). Thanks to a forum member’s recent assist, I now know HOW TO get the current frame of a Movie Clip to display to the stage for the user/Reviewer.
But…
My iLLustrator-Animator has (delivered to me) movie clips embedded in movie clips, in movie clips … THUS, what I need is a way to have Flash:AS3 “tell me” (that is, report) what movie clip is being played AND the currentFrame.
I know that I can tell Flash (AS3) to play a specific movie clip:
clip1.play();
Is there a way for me to ask AS3 - Please what “movieClip” is playing?
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
