A lot of sites use sound to enhance the “surfing” experience and I was just wondering what kind of sound would be appropriate for a college flash website? I would appreciate any links to appropriate sources! I know that there are a lot of free loops on the net, but I have no clue what type of sound would be appropriate! Preferably it shouldn’t be some kind of techno loops, but perhaps something soothing and something you won’t tire of if you visit the site frequently!

Personally, I would leave the sound out altogether for a college site. I think there should be a level of professionalism for a education related site and a sound of any kind would just undermine it. Not only that, but your target audience’s music preference might not be very clear and the music can potentially annoy some.
