Ya, our radio stations stay pretty up to date on music. A month after a song is released they’ll usually stop playing it, yet they spam the songs like trout slappers for that month.
LOL, the same here… but since the radio stations also make moolah off of playing what people request and doing what they can to gain popularity, they are somewhat forced to play what people here want to hear… even if it is outdated.
I mainly listen to soulfly, and sometimes old-sepultura as stated in the old thread, anyways, i dun like rap, pop, etc. Metal is one of my fav, i dun know what got me into it, but i won’t stop, lol.
Nothing like old brazillian heavy-metal:)
=)
with out a doubt…
Pantera
Blind Guardian (Who I will be seeing Sat. at the Metro in Chicago!!!)

Most of my friends and I will not listen to local radio… it just sux. A few listen to NPR, but that usually doesn’t count as music… Until I went into business solely for myself I went to at least 150 live shows a year.
Personally, I like to be surprised by what is coming next, and hopefully the artist is going to vary it each time (I’ve seen so many acts that do a cover the exact way the original was done, note for note) they play it.
I have a couple of bands that I do listen to on CD because they are either Dead (not together anymore is included), or have gotten too big for me (stadium shows), like Grateful Dead, Ben Harper, Rush (go Canada), and The Iguanas (because they only come to CA once a year).
Mostly, I listen to Internet Radio, because of no commercials, large selection of styles to fit my ever-changing moods, and I never know who, or what is going to come up next.
