So I’ve been running a web design business for about 3/4 a year now and things are going alright. However as most of you know, a paycheck isn’t always guaranteed, etc.
I was wondering, where would you guys for a part time job, making maybe 500-700 a month working 20hrs. a week? I’m looking for something not in food / customer service if possible.
Tell me your good stories or past jobs you’ve had!
You’re looking at trying to make $8.75/hr in the upper range, so just get a job at a call center or somewhere in retail. Should be pretty easy to find a job for that kind of cash.
Work for Starbucks, they pay okay-ish but have great benefits for part-time employees (plus free coffee!!!). This might be a good place to wrangle in some new clients as well. Just a thought.
+1 on the starbucks, or you could try like the Cafe at Barnes & Noble (or your choice of book store). Pretty decent pay for what you do, and you get to tone your ‘people’ skills
If you work at Starbucks, be prepared to enter the melodramatic culture of baristas. I’ve had many a friend work there, and it seems like a very gossipy place.
Starbucks Corp. says it will close hundreds of stores it opened over the past three years. The company did not say where the stores were located, but all together, 600 underperforming stores will close and 12,000 full- and part-time positions be cut.
Worked for Starbucks for 3 years already before I left to start my own business.
Do not ever work at a busy Starbucks, was great at first but then became a very miserable place to work due to upper management not giving our store the budget we needed.
