Okay, I did a search and really wanted some more opinions on what people thought about mysql and postgre and using ruby on rails. We’re building out a social networking application for designers and are deciding on hosting. We found a place called http://www.engineyard.com but at the moment they only support MYSQL.
We use POSTGRE at the moment. So basically, if we decide to switch over are we losing a lot of features, speed, or anything like that? Is it really comprable? Just need some opinions to help us make a decision.
