It said in the update notice, some unacceptable symbols were discovered in this font…
check this out, isn’t it just incredible?
It’s just a symbol… :sigh:
What is? to say that an ancient Indian symbol is unacceptable or to include it on the font?
Btw, have you notice David’s star?
:-/ you knnow what i would say. so im not gonna even say it…
It’s some tribe thing or something… Isn’t that what they said.
As Phat7 said, "it’s only a symbol”…
But then if my whole family was gathered up like cattle and taken away to be gased, I wouldn’t wanna see it.
But then if the media had left it alone know one would have known about it, and I doubt anyone would use it in a document.
ohh there it is, thanks :thumb: , i was looking for that symbol. cheers.

j/k
i was gonna say thats MS for you, if you were using a Mac we wouldnt have this troubble becuase Apple doesnt do things like this :pleased:
this is one thing I don’t particulary blame M$ for.
as you can see from the other characters in the font, the font is derived from Asia. In some Asian religions, the swastika has a religious meaning, and therefore is perfectly reasonable to have in a font.
M$ just didn’t check the font well enough before releasing it in the US and Europe.
By incredible, i meant they issue an update for that, ok, it has a very bad conotation now, but originally, the swastika is just the opposite: http://www.luckymojo.com/swastika.html … and it’s really just a font, noone has to use it, and you might use it in another context and be glad to be able to access that symbol in a font…
And why should Mac Office come with different fonts? Have you checked…?
btw, I upgraded and it’s really gone!
anyone got that font
