I creating a simple news ticker for flash MX (6) using an external text file. Everything works great except for a little hiccup I get whenever a title or headline has an “&” symbol. I know the “&” is used to break up from different items. Example:
Content=something goes here
&else=Something else goes here.
Now if the & is in the news headline it screws it up. I tried using the & and have flash render it as HTML but the “&” before amp; screws that up as well. Now the reason the “&” is so important is because the identity of the company has that withing its name so using “and” isn’t an option. is there are work for this? Any help would be great
