XHTML / CSS Compliance Lies

Does anyone still use the w3c logos for compliance…?

I see so many sites using them in the last 6 months that error all over the place. I’ve never put them on as it seems like something that should just be taken for granted. A site SHOULD work in a browser. It doesn’t need to be said that you’ve got a compliant site (and more often than not they’re not anyway)…

Generally in my own CMS based sites, there’s always an element of duff code anyway, as soon as you introduce content providers who’ll be creating their own content into the mix. Even with the best will in the world, and the most amazing validator ever running you GUI to allow users to create their own content, kaka code will still get through, completely rubbishing the little logos sat at the bottom of your lovely browser…
