21 Grams is great. If you like films on a higher level than the usual Hollywood no-brainers, you’ll enjoy it.
The mood is quite pessimistic and the story itself is hard (not that there’s blood everywhere, it’s not horror), so don’t go watch it if you’re looking for happy entertainment.
Too bad the goofy bastard still has a pulse. He went over to Iraq as a human shield. That would have been great if he took a cruise missle to the dome.
No, not quite but best movie I’ve seen since Requiem for a Dream. It’s style is reminisent of The Usual Suspects a bit (even Life of David Gale if you want to go that far).
Personally, I’m a HUUUUGE fan of movies that make you think: i.e. Fight Club, Requiem for a Dream, Matrix, Se7en, etc. 21 Grams ranks with the best of them that make you think.
