3d-like shading

My photoshop skills are poor, and I need help on this thing. :nerd:

I have a round-edged box . Is it possible to give a concave-type look with PS? Also, how do you create shadow to go underneath an object?

any help would appreciated  :battery:

In FW, it is simply a couple clicks on the properties panel…

never had to try it in PS…

real quick:

Use the Drop Shadow layer style to get the shadow…

There’s a style like Bevel or something that will add the edges.

If your looking at a concave - curve in - look and feel I need more information on what your talking about. Are you talking about a glass concave shadow that curves in or more of a plastic shadow that curves in. None the less here’s a good place to start:

Just apply the similar principles to your button and adjust it accordingly, either way it’ll get your more familiar with photoshop and enhance your skills. Let me know if your looking for more information on it.
