Well, I’m going to release my website / portfolio on the first of January. Upon the release I want to have tons of free video tutorials for 3d applications and possibly 2d things. Accompanying the videos I’ll text versions that have the same exact content, so the viewers would have a choice of what they want to use.
I’m making a list of the things I should teach about. I need your help to actually put this thing together. If there’s anything you want to learn, I’ll be happy to make a tutorial and lesson about it.
Here’s what I have so far.
- Basics, workflow and the bare bones of the tools
- Poly Modeling, basics to advanced
- Material Editor
- Animation
- Character set up and rigging
- Morpher tools, like face animation
- Rendering tips
- Lighting techniques
- Texturing basics
- Using nurms to set the outline for poly modeling
- Particle effects basics
- Advanced particle effects
- Basics, workflow
- Overview of all emmiters, daemons, and forces
- Simulation set up, basics of how to set up fluid scenes
- Simple effects to even advanced blockbuster effects
- Dynamics, overview
- Physics, separate from the dynamics lesson
- Elastics dynamics, separate from dynamics lesson
- Fluid and gas concepts, separate from dynamics lesson
- Basics, workflow
- Poly modeling, basics to advanced
- Rendering
- Lighting
- Animation
- Dynamics
Along with the tutorials I’m going to make case studies. I’m basically going to make a full project, and explain how to make Everything in it. For example, you may have seen the Chocolate cell phone on the commercials. I’m going to try to make a replication of the actual chocolate scene with the liquid flowing off of the cell phone.
Any suggestions and requests would be Very appreciated! Thank you.
