It looks awesome, need I say more?
Yes. Say more.
Ok then, my letter to Steve Jobs: “Reduce the price of the iPod Touch! Thank you.”
hahhah seriously, why pay for a touch when the iphone is half the price lol
^ Hmmm… Um… Having to pay monthly, contract-bound charges to AT&T, maybe? Besides, I already have a cell phone that does everything I need, mainly being a phone. I want an iPod touch because I want to be able to listen to music and browse the web on demand, and since pretty much everywhere I go has WiFi, I don’t see why I would need 3G.
I’m sure AT&T would love to subsidize the price of the iPod Touch, as well.
subsidizing is up to the carrier, so the prices apple has posted in the store don’t have anything to do with subsidizing yet
why not mesh your two devices into one: iphone
you can browse the web on wifi…
Holy crap!
Can’t wait. I’m gonna stand in line for this one.

Because my current cell phone rates are about 1/2 to 1/3 that of AT&T’s.
It seems that here in Spain the iPhone 3G will be commercialized only by one company… and it will cost: 0€. The best way to hit the 3G market. IMO with these improvements this device is starting to be a very good device… (Not like the predecessor)
But… Mr.Jobs, pleaseeee: WHERE’S THE F*CKIN FLASH??? :h:
With flash it could be the perfect device!
I wanna see my FMS3 streamed videos in the iphone :crying:
No doubt
I just bought twelve.
^ Really? Why did you purchase twelve iPhone 2.0s?
Why didn’t you?
Touche, Mr. Salesman. :shifty:
Heh, it’s cool. I guess. I might upgrade if I’m feeling rich after it comes out, but there’s nothing terribly surprising or impressive in it.
I was hoping for some GUI features.
Anybody know if the new firmware is coming to the old hardware?

Engadget said they’d be pushing firmware 2.0 down the pipes for like $10 later on. However, I don’t see what all the fuss it about. I agree 3G is great and all, but the only other worthwhile addition I can find is the “real” GPS ability now. Not really a big deal since even a blackberry v1 can do that from 2 years ago…
Plus the fact now they’re making you activate on the spot. Meaning, hacking it is going to that much more pain in the ***. I still don’t see many 3rd party apps yet, other than a few games, and (that cool) Slingbox prototype app…oh, and that navigation app as well.
I couldn’t care less about the maps — I always have my car’s nav, which is more useful anyways.
Actually the one solution to unlocking it:
The Online Store.
