lol. sorry kman… you must be frazzled to make that mistake. You need to take a day off at the beach.
LOL!..good idea upuaut, I have been meaning to get a tan :ninja: I very rarely look at the date of any of the posts in Top Secret haha
Thor --> I read your post, but for some reason my mind didn’t register what/who KtoTheIzzo was.
that’s you bro, you know, KtotheIzzo, Kstyles, Kdogg, onEnterKzone…they’re all you.
If I ever become a rapper, I’ll be sure to, as :tie: would say, “hook you up” for a cool name.
ok… I re-did one of the forum. The ordered forum now has a more official rule sticky here ~> http://www.kirupaforum.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=30972
I think that we should at least consider this format for each of the forum.
We were discussing l33t speak in the other thread. I figured there was enough grass roots support that I should ask the question:
Should we consider making l33t speak a warnable offense on my rule list?
things to think about
~ l33t speakers and people who do not have a good grasp of the language are easy to mistake… at least for me. I tend to treat anyone who I can’t obviously tell is a l33t speaker as if they are simply English illiterate. I wont be a good one to give out warnings. If something like this did go through, I’d ask that people be really careful with their judgements. Make sure we don’t abuse some poor schmuck from Tibet just because he caught a mod with a mood.
~ Phl33t speak would have to be allowed. That is a specialized l33t, which is l33t only to kirupaforum. It has one rule only. Every phonic representation of a soft f is replaced by “ph”. I can’t cut phil’s speak out… for one thing he’d take this entire post as an attack and I wouldn’t blame him. For another, so many of us use it. Not me, but many of the posters, and mods. Personaly, I like it. I’ve always thought that all hard “i” sounds should be replaced with “y”, but that’s a far too confusing rule. ph’s are just enough to be none conphusing.
I don’t know… maybe it’s a dumb subject to even disguss. It could just be left under that arbirtrary disclaimer like section in the middle.
Some rules are meted on a case-by-case basis. In some discussions more leeway will be given than in others, and Moderators are not all the same. Be smart and read the threads. Get a general feel for the conversation that is occurring before you put in your post. i.e. posting about a cool new effect you’ve made, in the middle of a thread about a technical problem for someone else is inappropriate.
