I’m in bit of a dylema and need some advice about what I should do about migrating to development in Flex.
At the moment I have been developing sites in ASP.NET 2.0 with SQL2005 server with the occasional flash bits integrated into them.
Having started down the road of learning Flex and absoluting loving it I want to know what the best set of tools would be to compliment Flex in terms of data services… I was thinking of using .NET webservices with the possibility of a AMF gateway sitting in between flex and .NET but to be honest I have no problem with moving away from .NET development if there is a better way to integrate with Flex.
What I would like to know is what the ideal software/hardware list would be for Flex Apps that would use relational data. I have been crawlling through the Adobe site but they have far too many packages and I can’t make sense of all the different things like: LiveCycle, ColdFusion etc etc.
Any help appreciated.
