This is the 4th or 5th time I’ve lost a really long post. See, what happens is:
- Type long reply into Quick Reply box
- Hit the button
- Get taken to a “You are not logged in. Please login” page
- Type in username and password
- Get taken to a page saying “Invalid thread specified”
And that’s it. My post is gone. If I press ‘Back’ until I get to the page I was typing on, the Quick Reply box is empty…
I’m blaming it on that new AJAX Quick-Reply box. The ‘logging-out’ thing seems to be an incurable problem, but the text should at least stay in the textbox when you go ‘Back’ to the page. The Quick-Reply box does some fancy-schmancy AJAX stuff which erases the contents of the textbox before posting it… Am I not right?
Five deep and meaningful posts have already been lost at the hands of the Quick-Reply box. How many more must suffer? How many more innocent posts must be sacrificed before anything is done about this severe crisis which so deeply affects the lives of all who bear witness to it? It’s times like these that we need to be reminded who we truly are. Amidst the terror and confusion, each and every one of us must ask ourselves what we truly value deep within our hearts, and decide whether or not to stand our ground against the oppression and injustice which so deeply threatens our very way of life.
