Inspired by the Computer names thread, it reminded me that is tipical geek activity to adorn the top of their monitor with various articles. For Example, I have a large fuzzy spider on top of my monitor, but I know some people have other things. Spider seen here: ( :love: )
My monitor is kind of at the wrong angle to put anything on it. I have a monitor cleaner velcro-ed onto the shelf above it though…
I have a laptop, so nothing can really be placed on top of it 
On my desktops at home, I don’t have anything over my monitor. I guess I can put a few magnets up top and play with the degauss feature haha.

I was degaussing 3 or 4 times a day, but nothing helped. That was, untill I realised that the problem was caused by a desk fan that I have that was disrupting the magnetic feild in the monitor :lol: I felt like an idiot after discovering that.[/ot]
Why do magnets always end up near the monitor? I had a friend once who’s monitor was really messed up, and they couldn’t figure out what was wrong with it, so I asked her “Is there a really big magnet sitting next to your monitor?” and she was like “OMGGGG how did you know?!”
Seriously though, how do so many people get magnets by their computer?

I have a bunch of things on my monitors at work, homestar characters, happy meal toys, legos etc. At home I have one thing on one of my monitors - Selena:
I have 2 flat panels so not much fits on top of them. Back when I used to work at my old web design firm, I had two CRT’s and 2 Wobble Hula Girls and Goldberg the WWF wrestler were standing on top of them. All gifts from a friend.
Well then one day someone flicking a penny across the room took one hula girls arm right off. From that day forward Goldberg held on it, with a look like he jsut ripped it off.
