I have a project that is getting way too heavy, and I’m curious if I can move the intro animation into After Effects and render out as FLV. The intro frames are the same size as the stage, 1156x650, and it should run at 15fps. The main problem is that the intro needs to transition as seamlessly as possible to the live stage behind it, which contains some of the same imagery as the intro, and video artifacts will make it very obvious.
Is bumping the quality up to 700Kb and using a keyframe placement of 1 per frame really as good as it gets? The target connection is consumer broadband, so I’m weary of going too much higher on the bitrate.
