This site (http://www.theswedishtiger.com) is close to earning $8,000 a year with the number of Google Ad hits so I want to upgrade it, it is using a very basic template, which is now over five years old. I am going to convert it to Flash with xml, MySQL, imported jpg’s and the pricing information obtained from a database. Currently the information is held in MS Access DB and manualy transferred. Now the site is earning money. The style of the presentation will similair to a more recent site that we have built (www.stampsofvictoria.com) but the navigation will be different.
Now for the question, any recommendations on the Database? We are thinking ColdFusion as it is in the Macromedia family, but don’t like its functionality. Anybody recommend an alternative for the new version of the site mentioned above?
