Hey Guys – I’m looking to do a navigation in Flash similar to these sites:
saltnyc.com
beehiveboston.com
Basically, I want to have different “target points” linked to a graphic that’s much larger than the artboard – only one section is visible at a time – so when the user clicks on menu/nav links, the graphic moves to reveal a different portion of the graphic – and when it moves from one section to another, it moves in relation to the other points (ex: if it’s on the bottom right portion of the graphic, and the link takes it to the top left, you can see it sliding across the graphic from bottom right to top left)
I know how to do this “manually” i.e. a different timeline & movie clip for each possible motion – but that seems like the most inefficient way to do it – I know there’s methods to use Actionscript to dynamically handle these actions – anyone can help??
(I’m not apeing the designs at all – there are just the best examples I can find to try to explain what I want to do )
