Well, I made my first preloader using the bar preloader and percentage tutorial on Kirupa here, written by lostinbeta.
Ok, so after a few mods, it works how I want it, on my movie. Great. Fantastic.
Problem is, regardless of what bandwidth I test it with, using Flash MX 2004, and actually using dial up, the preloader for the movie appears after some short time at 60-odd percent. Can someone explain to me why? The total SWF size is 120kb; I’m assuming it’s because even at low speed it’s already downloaded 60% of the movie? (Although I’ve seen other web movies which I would have thought to be less rthan 120kb start at 0%) ??
