I’ve been trying to close my Natwest account for 2 months now - and all because I went over my overdraft limit by 84p at one point are they now trying to charge me £56.
It was a simple miscalculation of funds and because I was on holiday I had no way of dealing with it - it turns out they have ‘overcharging’ periods - and if your 84p overdrawal runs through these periods you get 2 seperate charges of…yes…£28!
Twenty-eight pounds. Let me just reiterate **TWENTY-EIGHT **POUNDS…for the sake of a measley 84p.
Is it just me or does that sound unfair? The cost of sending a couple of letters on fancy paper is over 50 pounds?
I’m thinking of claiming all the unfair charges from my account in the last 6 years…which apparently is quite possible and not difficult to achieve…
Anyone else had any success at this…?
