hi, i am wondering if anyone has any idea how the squiggle line effect on this website is done. www.wearbody.com.au click on any page other than the homepage.
also, how does one get this button effect where if i rollover one one button on my navigation bar, the rest fade? see www.exopolis.com.
anyone who can point me in the direction of a good tutorial or provide me with some help is much appreciated!!
That first one would be done with Flash Mx’s new Drawing API and also a bit of alpha and stuff…
The second one would be done using movie clips and a bit of actionscript…
All these things are done using ones imagination and a bit of coding knowledge and just mixing ideas together… try it sometime its fun and that’s how you get original idea’s… if you see something you like then yeah cool try to make it but then mix those idea’s together and what you’ve learnt to make a totally new idea and effect…
just search around for tutorials and stuff… there’s some really neat ones on this site… you’re not going to be able to do what you want straight away. It takes practice and lots of trial and error and in the end you normally end up with something totally different than you wanted in the first place and normally thats a good thing!
