HEY FOLKS,
Im a new convert to Mac and was wondering if there was a good package installer out ther for adding php and mysql for web development.
On PC I’ce been using http://www.easyphp.org/ …anythign similar out there for Mac that macs the prcoess nice and simple?
well after doing two google searches I came up with this http://www.mamp.info/en/index.php it looks pretty good.

its ok, if it anything like thw windows version, WAMP then that is a good package, WAMP is super easy to use.
its already preinstalled in mac os x, u have to turn on websharing and edit the httpd config file for the apache…and uncomment the php lines…

^ And install PHP.
I went with the MAMP route. It works nicely when I need it.
Apache is already installed. The best PHP installer is available here .
You can get MySQL from it’s own site. If I remember correctly, it comes with an installer.

go the discussion forums on Mac site and follow the help there. As mac already has some part pre installed they are optimsed for OSX so you only need to add or update some parts.
