Apple Doesn't want your Ideas

But if they did implement there ideas should they not sign a contract or somthing.

What?

Well the point is say Apple come up with an idea. Then somebody writes to them that same idea. When they finally implement it, that person can claim its their idea and that Apple owes them money.

@ Seb btw

But what i mean is if the company thinks its a good idea then they could use the person idea and sign a contract so they cant sue for stealing ideas or what not

lol… so if you had an amazing idea and they wanted to use it, you’d sign a contract waivering all rights to that idea?

Why would they want to have to pay you money? It would probably be worth it to them to avoid implementing that feature, in order to not have to pay you.

We don’t even know the content of the girl’s letter. What if it had something stupid in it or she made some crappy iPod design. She deserved to get pwned.

Dumb kids…

I’m not that evil. :P[/COLOR]

They said she suggested having the lyrics show up so you could sing along… among other things.

You make it sound acceptable, but it’s not right for a company to send a letter like that to a 9-year old. It would have been better to send a less sincere letter explaining the reasons why Apple can’t take unsolicited ideas in language she could understand along with the legalese.

CBS must be pro pc. It’s the same way CNN will post anything and everything negative about Bush, even the little rediculous stuff. I agree this is stupid.

… That has to be the shortest official news report I’ve ever read…
Isn’t there any more information on it?

watch the vid

no wonder the reply is that harsh, it came from lawyer

they have been ********* are their life. :m: ( lawyers i mean )

First off, if it was a legal letter, which it was, to bad for the little girl. Legal letters are not THAT harsh. Also, what company would accept advice from a third grader… additionally, there are legal reasons why they do not do so, so just needs to suck it up, that buisness. I think that this was totally rediculous, and the mom is dumb as a box of rocks. Apaulling? No. They treated it as any other mail. If I was Steve Jobs I’d smack that girl and her mom around some. I swear, people on this planet are so stupid and uneducated, especially Americans.

:sigh: now that’s not umbrella stereotyping is it?

:stuck_out_tongue: and again . . .

^
Umbrella?

[ot]^^^When hearing that I think about his video where they walk around and ask people what america should attack next [/ot]

:look:

umbrella statement, blanket statement, whatever.

I suppose that’s why you aren’t him.

Apple appollogized afterwards, meaning that the reply sent to the girl was considered eventually too harsh and now they are considering special attention to the kids’ suggestions. Even big corps have employees that go wrong.
