Argh! I need Mac advice!

I hate to be the “NEED HELP ASAP” guy, but we’re having issues here, and it’s holding up all of our work.

A Mac Pro G5 here at work is doing the kernel panic thing every time it tries to start up. I’ve gone through as much tests as I could think of (did the Hardware Test, Reset the NVRAM and PRAM, tried booting from an OS9 and OSX discs…), but I think I’m just going to have to “Archive and Install” OS X (10.4.4).

It recommends backing up important files before doing this, but I’m not sure how to do that when the computer won’t even start up at all.

Any ideas??

Thanks guys.
