Firstly I appreciate ANY input that is offered.
What I’m trying to do is fairly simple, but for some reason has been eluding me.
I’m building a new site in AS2 (CS3), and I’m loading external jpegs into galleries.
The jpegs are loaded by clicking on thumbnails using getURL.
I’ve been working primarily with the Loader component, and have had success with loading the jpegs & moving through the galleries.
However, I cannot get a progress bar (load bar, preloader etc) to correlate with the progress of the incoming jpeg. I feel as if I’m going in circles with a multitude of online tutorials etc, and I’ve reached desperate status, so I turn to the Kirupa forums.
Largely, my question centers on what scripts to assign to the various elements that I’m working with: simple load bar, Loader component (or MovieClip Loader), button.
Please help me to make some progress on this - pun intended!
