AS2 problem:attachmc alignment with movieclip

Hello, I need a way to have an attached mc stay aligned with another mc that rotates (for AS 2.0). More specifically, I have a spaceship with several turrets that shoot at intervals, the problem comes when the spaceship rotates; how do I get the bullets (or whatever you want to call them) to appear at the correct x and y values when the spaceship rotates when the ship itself is asymetrical and has a registration point at its tip?
