Alright my asus a8n sli premium has died for the second time. Now i have to figure out how to rma since newegg no longer rma’s them. Ugh, I don’t recommend Asus motherboards to anyone. Go with gigabyte or some other company.:upset:
I’d have to agree…My P4800SE went bad as well…and now I have to resort to using my old, yet RELIABLE, Gigabyte board. So I’m right there with ya SlowRoasted!
I’m an MSI biggot after MY Asus incident.
Wow I didn’t know that others were having the same problem.
Really, ASUS is a no-go? I was considering ASUS for my pc build, guess not. Thanks for advice, and good luck with your problem!
Aw man, that sucks. I TOO went through TWO ASUS A8N-SLI Premium motherboards and ended up settling with an Abit AN8-SLI Fatal1ty motherboard. It is much nicer.
hhehe my company was the PR company of asus …lol
I thought that ASUS used to have a reputation for reliability. I have always recommended them, and I have had lots of good luck with them. But I recently helped someone build a system that had a bad A8N SLI as well. Its too bad they have gone downhill.
I first read the title as “anus” rant
Had a good laugh… That bites about your mobo dog.
My Asus has been working fine. It’s a A8N-E.
That premium is the one with the heatpipe cooler? Or it is the one with the notoriously weird chipset cooler?
Sorry about the mobo problems!
Yeah its the heatpipe one.
