Okay so I get my nvidia 7800 GT in the mail and am soooo happy. I dont mess with hardware much, especially motherboards. I start to install it and find out that I dont have the right slot (which i now know is a pci-express slot). I get pissed but then think it shouldn’t be too much to go pick one up at best buy. Best buy doesnt have one for slot 478 and I quickly find out that that are like almost no socket 478 motherboards with a pci slot in them. Now Im screwed and decide to just buy a new motherboard and processor. Im so bummed i decide to cheer myself up and get the amd athlon dual core and asus sli motherboard for when i get some money for dual vid cards. This makes me fell a little better, but now I have to pay the bill in 6 months (newegg preferred customer deal).
In short, I will never make an ignorant purchase of computer parts again.
