i have one main swf that calls a few other swf. i have done all the links and it’s working fine. can i have an external file that control the flow of my movies from main page to the end page?

I’m not sure exactly what you’re trying to achieve here.
i wanted to make a self running presentation using flash. instead of having as inside my flash files which controls the movement can i just call another separate file like txt file.
It’s still not much clearer(anyone else have any ideas?).
Maybe if you explain why you don’t want the instructions to be inside the movie it would help. what do you want the movie to do?

As long as you create a proper Flash projector file, which is an executable format, you won’t have problem running it on your user’s computer…
As for an autorun, check this tutorial by DiDi…
Hope that’s what you are looking for… 
open notepad and type this in
[autorun]
open=your movie.exe
icon=custom icon.ico
and save as autorun.inf then proceed to burn on a cd make sure the autorun.inf and the executable you want to startup are in the same root level
the icon is a bonus when i make interactive cd roms i always make a custom icon its really cool do some googling to find out how to make a custom icon
