am having a hard time creating my own bg’s. what program would i need besides ps 7.

i depends what kind of bg you want. you can make nice backgrounds in just photoshop, but if you want a 3D, mix that with photoshop. use painter or a wacom tablet to draw something. the posibilities are endless 
whats painter or a wacom?
a wacom tablet. run a search in the forums, or go to www.wacom.com and you’ll see what im talking about. Painter 7 is a program that comes with the wacom. There’s quite a few here that are real good at it (Kit, Edwin, to name a few) so if you have trouble ask them.
