I’m getting slightly paranoid of losing my data. Is there a software (or even hardware) solution that helps me backup? By backup, I don’t mean burn data to a DVD. I mean RAID-1 backup of pieces of data on hard-drives. But I don’t want it to backup the same things over and over again. Could it just backup the files that changed? It’d be like the version control software Git, where it stores copies of changed files onto external hard drives, except it’d do so in RAID-1 fashion. It’d also be nice if it could periodically check the integrity of files.
Oh, it’d also be nice if I could encrypt the files and upload them somewhere as well.
I’m mostly going to backup text-files (code), PDFs, and a lot of songs in MP3.
Am I asking for too much here?
