I would like to hook up my camcorder to my computer and also edit my movies. Do I need any software? What is the most popular/best program out there? Thanks in advance!

Adobe Premiere is a good one.

Adobe Premiere is one of the best video editing programs around. It can be a bit on the pricey side though.
