Hi,
I've recently purchased a 20.1" widescreen monitor and have it running at 1600 x 1200 pixels.
Before I ask the question....I'll describe what it is that I'm trying to do.
I've created a hardcopy 8.5x11" document.
and would like to create a flash presentation of it on CD that resembles a what the document would look like if it was being viewd in say Adobe PDF viewer.
I'm running into two problems.
1. is that I dont know what dimensions the flash document should be set to so that it is readable on a normal sized monitor with say a resolution of no less than 1024x768. Basically I the presentation to have an blank paper viewed in the center of the screen....much as in PDF viewer and have have dynamic text readable on this page. Since the presentation will be viewed off a cd I can have the thing open up full screen, I guess, and this will give me some more screen space. I dont want the user to have to scrool up or down to view the page.
- I think… and I could like totally be wrong here… that the document size should be something like 900 pixels wide by 700 pixels high. The thing is that if I create a document like this … it shows up really small on my monitor set to 1600x1200. Now I think I know what you’re going to say… why dont I decrease my resolution… Well, I need to know if there is a way that I could design this document leaving the resolution like it is, and what dimensions the document should be … or how I should approach the idea of its dimensions such that if it were viewed off the CD on a laptop or desktop … it would look like the image I’ve attached.
Thanks in advance
Cheers
Haider.
